Jagged Alliance 3 was finally released on July 14, 2023. A third mainline entry into the age-old Jagged Alliance series; the last one was released back in 1999. That was more than two decades ago. So, you can understand why there’s so much excitement around this new title. While the game is certainly a banger, some players have been finding it hard to do certain tasks in the game. One of those tasks is buying and selling items.
Inventory management is an important part of Jagged Alliance 3. Your mercenary group is constantly expanding and is always in need of funds and equipment. After all, without them, all you will be doing is walking straight into the road that eventually leads to the “Game Over” screen. So, getting familiar with buying and selling items in the game is particularly important if you want to survive every enemy encounter. And here’s a guide that will help you with that. Jagged Alliance 3: How to buy & sell items
Equipment, recruiting, and running a mercenary group all have one thing in common: they require a lot of funds. Something that is a lot harder to come by if you are not careful with your decisions in the game. Thankfully, there’s a lot you can do to mitigate that issue. Selling items is one of the many ways you can generate funds in Jagged Alliance 3 and keep your fight going.
Sell Items
Players can’t sell each and every item in the game. Only some items can be sold in exchange for money. Items like Diamonds and relics offer an ample amount of money, so if you have those in your inventory, then just press the I key on your keyboard to bring up the Inventory menu. Right-click on the items you want to sell and choose the “Cash In” option.
One more thing: if you are thinking about selling your equipment in the game, you can’t. At least most of them. Furthermore, it’s better to repurpose old equipment instead of selling it for chump change. Plus, you will be recruiting more mercenaries throughout your playthrough, so having a good amount of gear for them is ideal.
Buy Items
Buying items can be done through shops in Jagged Alliance 3. However, these shops are hard to come by as they are pretty rare. In order to get access to these shops, you will need to liberate cities. Once you do so, go ahead and buy the items of your choice. There’s a pretty big flea market in Fleatown, so you can visit there to get access to a lot of vendors selling items that you can buy.
