From Lies of P to Remnant 2, 2023 was one of the best years for Soulslike titles. And from the looks of it, it seems like 2024 is going to be the same. Shadow of the Erdtree is rumored to be releasing this year, and then we’ve also got upcoming titles like Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn, Black Myth: Wukong, and many, many more. Among these also happens to be Sense Games’ AI Limit. Scheduled for a release sometime in 2024, the game has been confirmed to arrive on PC and PS5. But many fans also seem to be particularly curious about the game coming to both the Xbox and Nintendo Switch platforms.
For the uninitiated, AI Limit is a souls-like title set in an apocalyptic world that is filled with the brim monster that emerged from an unknown substance called Mud. You, as one of the Blader will embark on a quest to explore and seek the truth behind the destruction of civilization. Despair and death await you at every corner, so be ready to die and respawn a lot. With such an interesting premise, it’s only evident that fans would want to know when the game’s getting released for Xbox and Nintendo consoles. So, let’s go ahead and find out!!
Is there an AI Limit Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One & Nintendo Switch Release Date
At the time of publishing this, neither developer Sense Games nor publisher CE-Asia have announced anything remotely related to AI Limit releasing on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, or the Nintendo Switch. It is certainly a bummer for many who were planning to enjoy the game on these platforms.
As we mentioned before, so far, the game has only been announced for PC and PS5. However, this wasn’t the case before. AI Limit was originally announced back in 2019 as part of Sony’s PlayStation China Hero Project and was scheduled to be released on the PS4. Clearly, things have changed a lot since then.
Since AI Limit happens to be part of the PlayStation China Hero Project, it’s hard to say whether the game will be available on other platforms. Other PlayStation China Hero Project games like F.I.S.T: Forged in Shadow Torch, and Anno: Mutationem were released on platforms other than PS and PC, so AI Limit too could be another new addition to this small list of games in the future.
If AI Limit does arrive on some other consoles, the possibilities will most likely be limited to the Xbox Series X/S and maybe the Xbox One. The chances of it being playable on the Switch are none at all due to the aging hardware. Plus, with the rumors of a new Nintendo console on the way this year, it’s better to throw out any thoughts on AI Limit being playable on the Switch.
Right now, all you can do is wait for Sense Games to relay more information on AI Limit. We are also yet to get a release date for the game, so keep an eye out for that too. And if we do get any more information on AI Limit, we will be sure to let our readers know.
