There are a lot of amazing games slated to release this year. From AI Limit to Dragon’s Dogma 2, 2024 is looking to be another great year for video games. And among these upcoming titles, there also happens to be Team Ranger’s Outpost: Infinity Siege. Coming to PC on March 26, 2024, the game has invoked interest among many. Thanks to that, there’s a major question being asked around in the community about the game’s console release.
For the uninitiated, Outpost: Infinity Siege is a first-person shooter tower defense game where you will get to gather resources, explore worlds, and, best of all, pilot mechs. So, it’s only evident that something as cool as this will warrant questions about it being playable on other platforms besides PC. Well, if you are interested in knowing the same, consider reading until the end for more details.
Is there a Outpost: Infinity Siege game PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One & Nintendo Switch Release Date
As of now, developer Team Ranger hasn’t confirmed or even announced anything related to the release of Outpost: Infinity Siege on consoles. As we stated before, currently, the game is only scheduled for a PC release, and with a designated release date of March 26, 2024, a console launch at this point seems unlikely. However, this doesn’t mean that the possibility of a console release is not there.
The FAQ section of the game, which was made last year in May 2023, states the following in relation to the game’s release:
“The game will be a paid game released on Steam. We have not yet decided whether it will be released on game consoles…”
While the FAQ was published many moons ago, Team Ranger’s stance on console releases remains the same. On January 19, 2024, the Outpost: Infinity Siege’s Official Release Date Trailer went live, and in the comment section of the trailer, the official Outpost: Infinity Siege account replied the following when asked whether they would support Steam Deck:
“Thx for wishlisting, for now Outpost is PC only but we will consider launching on console platforms after the official release”
As evidenced by all of this, it’s safe to say that Outpost: Infinity Siege will only be released for PC on March 26, 2024. However, post-launch, it’s likely that we will be seeing a console release. But when exactly that will be is the kind of information we aren’t privy to as of now.
Now, we aren’t sure what consoles the game will be released on. If the studio doesn’t accept an exclusivity deal, then it’s more than likely that OIS will be arriving on both the PlayStation and Xbox platforms. However, there’s no chance that the game will be heading to the Nintendo Switch. The Switch is on its end-of-life cycle, and with incredibly weak hardware, it’s pretty obvious that when OIS comes to consoles, it will steer clear of the Nintendo Switch.
Well, that’s all the information we have on this. By the way, why not take a quick look here, if you want to know more about UFC 6? Well, for more such content, keep following DigiStatement. Also read: Is there a Southfield game PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One & Nintendo Switch Release Date
