OlliOlli World and SkateBIRD are some of the many new and fun skateboarding titles we have seen these past few years. And now another new title is also gearing up for its release. Developed and published by Phantom Coast, Helskate is a skateboarding action rougelite title where you will get to “grind, perform tricks, and chain combos to power up your attacks and slay the monsters of Vertheim.” The game’s certainly got unique gameplay and could turn out to be one of the indie hits of 2024. Something we will be able to find out when it launches as a Steam early access title on February 15, 2024. And with a confirmed PC release, it’s only evident that players would also want to know when the game is coming to consoles.
Helskate happens to be Phantom Coast’s debut title and it’s already looking solid. A skateboarding action roguelite is something we haven’t seen before, but the concept certainly seems unique. Skating around while killing monsters—what could be more fun than that? No wonder fans want to play the game on not only PCs but on consoles too. So, without much further ado, let’s go ahead and find out when Helskate is heading for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and the Nintendo Switch.
Is there a Helskate PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One & Nintendo Switch Release Date
As of now, Helskate doesn’t have a release date for any consoles. So far, the game has only been confirmed for a PC release via Steam, and nothing else. Quite unfortunate news, but it is what it is.
As we stated before, Helskate is going to be released as an early access title on February 15, 2024, and the devs estimate that the game will be in early access for about a year. Going by that, it seems like we won’t be seeing a console release for a while. However, there are exceptions where devs simply launch an early access title on platforms besides PC. But usually, devs do announce when something like that happens. Unfortunately, from the looks of it, it seems like Helskate will remain a PC title during its early access phase.
In conclusion, it’s more than likely that players will have to wait until Helskate’s early access phase is over to find out whether the game will get a console release or not. Till then, you will have to enjoy the game on Steam. If we do get any news on a Helskate console release, we will be sure to let our readers know. By the way, you can play Helskate right now by downloading the demo available on Steam.
