Developer Mithril Interactive has lately been making waves in the video game world thanks to their upcoming title – Dungeonborne. Scheduled for a PC release, it’s a PvPvE game that combines elements of dungeon crawling and extraction shooters. Many fans have already been able to try out the game on PC and so far, it doesn’t seem to disappoint. However, with console players not being able to try the game, many have started asking when the game will be released on their platforms.
Since the game’s announcement trailer dropped, Mithril Interactive has continued to release more info on the game, ranging from in-game classes to bosses. Classes like Cryomancer, Death Knight, and Pyromancer are sure to add variety to the game, and the new Clouseau Castle map certainly looks stunning. Seems like Mithril is doing its best to make Dungeonborne one of the best PvPvE games out there. But when do console players get to enjoy the game like their PC brethren do? Well, let’s go ahead and find out!!
Is there a Dungeonborne PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S & Xbox One Release Date
At the time of publishing this, Dungeonborne devs haven’t mentioned any console release of the game. From what we have seen so far, the game seems to be only scheduled for a PC release, with no console launch in sight. Quite unfortunate news for players who wanted to try the game on their PlayStation and Xbox consoles.
Since Dungeonborne is still early in its development phase, it’s safe to say that we will not be seeing a console release for quite a while. Because the game still needs a good amount of time in the oven, releasing it early for consoles is going to be nothing but a recipe for disaster. Forget the console version, we don’t even have an official release date for the game on PC. That’s how far the game is from its full release.
As we stated before, currently, Dungeonborne devs are conducting a closed QA test that happens to be exclusive to Discord members. However, you will be able to play and enjoy Dungeonborne soon, as the devs have announced that they will be participating in Steam Next Fest this February. All you need to do is wait for February 2, 2024, and the Dungeonborne open playtest will start. The playtest itself will last until February 12, 2024, so you will have plenty of time to try the game and even give your honest feedback to the devs. This will be the only way you will be able to play Dungeonborne for a long while since the devs have remained silent on a console version. However, if the devs do announce anything related to the console version of the game, we will be sure to update this article accordingly.
