When it comes to AR mobile games, there’s nothing that beats Pokemon Go. Released back in 2016, the game continues to rake in a ton of revenue each year, although post-Covid the numbers have gone down quite a bit. New Pokemon and events are regularly introduced into the game, with the latest one, as of publishing this guide, being the Rivals Week event featuring Pokemon such as Sawk, Durant, Throh, and more. This guide in particular will help you understand how rare Dusclops is in Pokemon Go.
Dusclops is a Ghost-type Pokemon introduced in Generation III. It’s part of the Dusknoir family, evolving from its base form – Duskull and finally evolving into Dusknoir. Its in-game description is as stated below:
Dusclop’s body is completely hollow-there is nothing at all inside. It is said that its body is like a black hole. This Pokemon will absorb anything into its body, but nothing will ever come back out.
Quite the scary description! So, how rare is it in Pokemon Go? Well, let’s go ahead and find out all about that.
Is Dusclops Rare in Pokemon Go (2024)
Dusclops made its Pokemon Go debut back in the Halloween 2017 event on October 20, 2017. The same event also marked the release of other event-themed and regular Pokemon such as Pikachu (Witch Hat), Raichu (Witch Hat), Pichu (Witch Hat), Sableye, Shuppet, Banette, and, of course, Duskull, the base form of Dusclops family.
Niantic also released an event-themed Dusclops along with its shiny form back in 2022. Called Cempasuchil Dusclops, this event-themed Pokemon was released at the start of Dia de Muertos 2022 on November 1, 2022. And speaking of shiny form, there’s also a shiny form of regular Dusclops available in Pokemon Go. Not only that, a Shadow form of Dusclops is also in the game.

How rare is Dusclops?
Players should be happy to know that Dusclops isn’t really rare in Pokemon Go. To get one for yourself, all you need to do is catch a Duskull and feed it 50 Candy. Duskulls are weather-boosted by fog, so keep that in mind. Now, feeding a Duskull 25 Candy will evolve it into a Dusclops. Furthermore, you can even further evolve a Dusclops into a Dusknoir by feeding it 100 Candies and also giving it a Sinnoh Stone. Currently, this is the only way to get a Dusclops, so be on the lookout for a Duskull when you are playing Pokemon Go.
