Among Us
The lockdown restrictions levied upon the world have led to a rise of recreational activities, practiced at home. A major part of this is gaming. Among Us saw an exponential rise last year, becoming one of the largest multiplayer games being played right now. From streamers to casual gamers, people have fallen in love with Among US.
A bulk of the reason for the game’s popularity is its simplicity, coupled with the large number of players you can play with. Among Us supports up to 10 players at once. Players spawn on a map where they come together to complete tasks. However, among the lobby are imposters. Players that can kill other players, or sabotage the game itself. You can report dead bodies, kick out suspicious players and of course, try to kill off the bulk of the lobby if you are an imposter.

The abovementioned description contained words and phrases like “kill” and “dead bodies” that would concern parents. However, rest assured that the premise of the game is largely cartoonish. The only shocking elements of the game are probably the kill animations, which pop up every time your player is called by an imposter.
Dead bodies also lie around the game, until discovered. However, as mentioned above, the cartoonish depictions water down what gore the scenario actually contains. The game has been widely rated as appropriate for ages 9 and above, however, the appropriateness of the same is a matter of the parents’ opinion.
