If you are into simulation games, then you must have tried InZOI. The game offers a new perspective in the simulation genre where players are creators of cities filled with characters named Zois. These characters behave like real people, forming relationships and performing actions based on their personalities. Anyway, with the game being out on March 28, 2025, in early access, there has been a long list of issues that many are having to deal with. One such issue is the inability to change resolution issue, where the in-game resolution gets stuck at 1280×720 or less. If you too are encountering a similar problem, we have just the solution you need.

There could be many reasons why the in-game resolution gets stuck. But the solution to this is pretty simple. Since you cannot change the resolution via the in-game settings, you now need to head over to the directory where the config file of the game is located. Editing this file with the right resolution setting will fix the issue for good. But do you know where the game’s config file is located? If not, continue reading.

To fix this issue, first head over to the game’s settings menu, and then change the Display mode to Windowed. Check if doing so is possible. If not, then it’s time to edit the config file. To access it, head over to your system’s C drive via the File Explorer, and then open the Users folder. Now, open the folder with your username. After this, go inside the AppData folder and then open the Local folder. Here, select the BlueClient folder, open it, and then head over to Saved>Config>Windows. Here, you will come across the GameUserSettings.ini file. This is the config file that you need to edit.

Right-click on it and then select the Open With option. Next, select Notepad. Once opened, find the Fullscreen Mode parameter. Make sure to set its value as 1. After this, find the ResolutionSizeX and ResolutionSizeY parameters. Edit the values to match the resolution you want. For eg:

  • ResolutionSizeX=1920
  • ResolutionSizeY=1080

After this change, save the changes and then launch the game. If you have set the right resolution value, it should launch the game with that resolution setting.

So, now you know how to fix the unable to change resolution issue in InZOI. We hope that you find this guide informative. If you did, consider visiting DigiStatement for more such interesting reads on all things gaming.
