How to save images on PS5 Internet Browser for Custom Cover Image?

Sony’s PlayStation 5 continues to be the top player in the ninth generation of consoles, leaving rival Xbox Series X/S far behind. Officially released in 2020, the console has sold 50 million units as of December 2023. A truly astounding number. Besides playing games on the PS5, many users also like to customize things a little. And a custom cover is a popular subject for that. However, it seems like a lot of players don’t know how to save an image on the PS5 browser and use it as a custom cover image. Don’t worry, though! This guide is here to help you with that.

The PS5 offers very little in terms of customization. While it’s true that it’s a gaming console first and foremost, a little customization will certainly be great for players who like to keep things unique. Plus, the dynamic theme for the PS5, while okay, can become boring to look at pretty fast. This is why so many users want to know about adding a custom cover image, as it adds that personal touch to their own PS5. So, without much further ado, let’s go ahead and find out how to save images on the PS5 internet browser for custom cover images.

For whatever reason, Sony likes to make simple things unnecessarily complicated. But worry not! Just follow the instructions below and you will be able to save a new image from your internet browser and use it as a custom cover image.

  • First of all, press the PS button on your controller and then switch to the Games section on your PS5.
  • Now, open your Friends section and select any friend in there.
  • Type in Bing.com in the text bar and send it. After that, click on the link and this will launch Bing on your PS5.
  • Next, select Images and then type in whatever you want. Do you want an image of Kratos? Type in Kratos. Want Joel? Type in Joel.
  • Once you have found the image of your choice, select it by pressing the X button and take a screenshot by holding the Share button on your controller.
  • Now, open Recently Created and select the screenshot you took before.
  • You can also edit the image by selecting the Paintbrush icon. After that, click on the Save button and you can either choose Replace Original or Save as New.
  • Next, head to the Media Gallery and select the edited image.
  • After that, click on Profile > Edit > Cover Image.
  • Click on Change Image and select the image of your choice.
  • Once you have positioned the custom cover image correctly, go over to the Save button and click on it.
  • End the process by selecting the Done button.

And that’s all you need to know when it comes to saving an image on the PS5 internet browser and using it as a custom cover image.
