How to play Monopoly Go on PC?

Scopely, the studio behind Looney Tunes World of Mayhem and MARVEL Strike Force: Squad RPG, released Monopoly Go a few months ago, in April 2023. Since then, the game has amassed a good number of followers, as evidenced by the 10+ million downloads on the Google Play Store alone. While Monopoly Go is on mobile, many players may want to play the game on PC but don’t know how to. And that’s where we come in to help.

Mobile gaming has exploded exponentially ever since smartphones started getting better at hardware and software capabilities. It’s so popular now that it surpasses the market share of both PCs and consoles combined. And this rise isn’t going to come down any time soon. However, this doesn’t mean that PCs, consoles, and mobile gaming can’t coexist. Each platform has its own pros and cons. Now, many players want to play Monopoly Go on PC simply because they find it better on it or are more comfortable playing the game on a much larger device. So, if you wish to do the same, consider reading this guide until the end.

How to play Monopoly Go on PC?

Let’s get straight to the point. Monopoly Go is a mobile-only game for now and is not available natively on PC. However, there’s a workaround for that. It’s called emulation, and it’s a godsend. For the purpose of this article, all you really need to know is that emulation is a way to imitate or emulate a particular software or device on another device using an emulator.

Now, like most consoles and devices, Android also has a few good emulators. However, BlueStacks is arguably the better choice of the choices available, and because of that, we will be using it as our go-to emulator for this guide. So, all you need to do is follow the steps given below, and you will be playing Monopoly Go on your PC in no time.

  • First and foremost, you need to go to BlueStack’s official website and download the emulator.
  • Install the downloaded file on your PC, and then open it.
  • Inside the newly installed emulator, you will see apps like the Google Play Store, Game Center, System Apps, and such. Ignore all those except for the Google Play Store. That one needs to be opened.
  • Now, you need to sign in to your Google Account. If you don’t have one already, we recommend you make one. Why? Without a Google Account, you will not be able to use the Play Store.
  • After logging in, type in “Monopoly Go” in the search bar as you would normally on the native Play Store app on your mobile device. Download the game and let it install automatically on the emulator.
  • Once the game icon appears on the main screen of your emulator, you are good to go. You have successfully installed Monopoly Go on your PC. Just open the game and enjoy feuding with your friends and family.

Google Play Games on PC?

Before we wrap up, you should know that Google has recently started testing Google Play Games on PC. Right now, the game library is quite limited, but with time, it will expand. You can check it out yourself if you want by visiting the official website here. The beta is only available in a few regions at the moment, so if it’s not available in your country, then an emulator is the only way for you to play mobile games on a PC.
