PS4 Error

PS4 is still one of the most used consoles out there in the market, after eight years but it still has some basic errors here and there. For those who don’t know, what a PS4 or PlayStation 4 is?  It is a home video game console developed by Sony Computer Entertainment. It can be used for various purposes but it is mainly used for playing games.

Other than this you can watch movies, store your games, apps, and video in it as there is up to 1Tb storage available in your PS4 console.

So today we are going to talk about an error called CE-38605-2.

What is this error?

This error mainly happens when you try to download certain games or certain apps, For example, Spotify, etc.

This error will come and will say that this app is already installed in your PS4, but it isn’t.

So, we can’t say the exact reason for this error but if your PS4 is showing this error. Two fixes will solve your problem.

First fix

It is a very simple and common fix (Only If you have an external storage device connected)

  • Firstly, you must open Settings.
  • Then you have to go to the devices.
  • After that, you must open USB storage device.
  • In USB storage device you will see the external hard disk that is connected to your PS.
  • you must click on “Stop using this extended storage”.

As it is presumed that the app is downloaded in your external hard disk and the PS4 is not showing that app but it is present there and this setting will stop the use of the external hard disk.

That will solve your problem

If this fix does not work

Second fix

The first thing that you have to do is to

  • open the account management.
  • In the account management open restore license.
  • And click on restore license.

What it will do is, that it will restore the licenses and will give the PS4 a refresh and that will solve the error.

And that is it for this article, I hope it will help you in solving your problem and if you have any doubts you can refer to this video.
