You have to disable the game launcher Origin. This game launcher by EA Sports is known to cause troubles with Modern Warfare. Press the Win+R keys to open the run dialog box. Type in msconfig and press enter to open the System Configuration Window.
Under the System tab, check out the box labeled as Hide Microsoft services. This will show you only the third-party services. Now, from the list of services, locate the Origin Web Helper and Origin Client service. Check these two out and click on Apply. Restart your computer and check for the dev error.
In case you face this error while entering the multiplayer mode, then you have to force your game to run on enabled V-sync. Launch COD: Modern Warfare and go to the settings. From the top menu, select the Graphics tab. From the newly appeared list, select Fullscreen Borderless under the Display option. Now, enable the V-Sync option and set the frequency to 60Hz. Apply the changes and launch the multiplayer mode. Hopefully, the error should no longer persist.
