Android System WebView makes it possible to open a web browser inside applications. You can view any type of web content with the help of WebView. It is pre-installed on your phone and you have to just update it regularly. It is a vital part of the android system.
How to fix Android System WebView and Google Chrome not updating:-
The issue that most commonly people face is that the Google Chrome app and the Android System WebView app are the only two apps on their phone that do not get updated to their latest version.
So, in order to fix this, go to the app management settings on your phone, opene Google Chrome, and tap on ‘Storage Usage’ and press the ‘Clear Cache’ option.
After that, go back into the app management settings, on the top right will be an options menu, from that go in to ‘system apps’ and scroll down to Android System WebView and clear the cache from the storage usage section.
After this, go into your home screen and long press on the ‘Google Play Store’ app, from there go into its app settings and clear the cache of the store too.
Now, go in the ‘Google Play Store’, into the ‘My Apps’ section and update both of the apps together, by pressing the ‘Update All’ option. If you update them separately, one of the apps might get stuck again.
