PlayStation 5 has removed the clutter from the Store. Earlier, in the PS4, you had a media section in the store to pick the media apps. However, to increase accessibility and modularity, it is moved to a convenient place. The methods to get the desired media apps on PS5 are –
1. Search Icon
When you open the PS Store, on the top you will notice various categories like Latest, Collection, Browse, etc. If you move further right, you will notice a search icon. Select the search icon and type in the name of the Media app you want. Suppose, you want Netflix on your console. Type in Netflix. However, you will see that no search results pop up for the same. This is because by default the games tab is displayed. You have to switch over to the media tab once the results show up. You can now click on it and install it.
2. Home screen
Searching for the app is easy when you have a particular thing in mind. However, there is a place where you can get all the media apps listed together. On the home screen, notice at the top of the screen. You should see two tabs – Games and Media. Select the Media tab. Scroll down to get the list of all available media apps on the PS5. Some of the popular ones are Netflix, Spotify, Funimation, etc. You can download the apps according to your preferences.
In the Media section, you should check the TV and Video section. It is located beside the All apps button. You can see all the trending tv shows and movies on different platforms.
