How to change server in Call of Dragons

How to change server in Call of Dragons

Released back in March of 2023, Call of Dragons is another hit game from the team that brought us Rise of Kingdoms. It’s an MMO fantasy warfare strategy title where you will be able to summon Behemoths, expand your kingdom, and go against powerful enemies. While all this is certainly exciting, new players seem to be pretty confused with some aspects of the game. A major one is changing servers. And this guide here will be of help in dealing with that.

Like Rise of Kingdom, Call of Dragons also suffers from server bloat. It was a problem back when the game was released in 2023, and it’s a problem right now as well. However, being able to change servers is something that helped Rise of Kingdoms players a lot. And now CoD players are hoping that the same thing will help them too. So, how can you change servers in Call of Dragons? Well, let’s go ahead and find out.

How to change server in Call of Dragons

How to change server in Call of Dragons

Before you can change servers, you should know how Divisions and Servers work in Call of Dragons. Say there’s a Division SS2-0002 containing servers #11, #22, #33, #44 and #55. Now, players within the same divisions can switch between other servers using the Division Migration system. A player on server #22 can switch to server #44 without any problem.

Now, when a season begins, Division SS2-0002 will be disbanded. And when the season ends, servers will then get regrouped into a Division once again. However, the servers might not be regrouped into the same Division as before. Pretty confusing, right? See, all you need to understand from all this is the fact that you can only move from one server to another if both of them happen to be under the same Division.

Now that you are aware of what a server and Division are in the game, let’s check out some in-game rules that you need to be aware of:

  • Your city must be at least Level 16 to migrate.
  • When migration begins, you will have a limited time window to migrate to another server in the same Division as your own, allowing you to fight side-by-side with new friends when the next Season starts.
  • You may migrate multiple times, but each migration will cost Gems. Once your migration is complete, the game will automatically restart.
  • Overpopulated servers will be marked as “full”. You cannot migrate to full servers, but you may be able to try again once players on that server have migrated to other servers.
  • If you migrate multiple Characters to the same server, you will only be able to log in and play as one of those characters at the same time.

Another rule that you need to remember is that you need to play at least two seasons on your current server in order to migrate.

How to migrate to another server

  • From the in-game screen, click on the Migration icon located at the top-right side of the screen.
  • A window will pop up on your screen, showing you Migration Rules, Migration End Date, and a big Migrate blue button.
  • Next, click on the Migrate button. Now, you will see all servers under your current Division. Each server will have a specific color assigned to it denoting its current status. You can take a quick look below to learn what each color means:
    • Green: Normal
    • Yellow: Active
    • Red: Full
    • Orange: Crowded
  • Choose whichever server you want to, provided it’s not full. Once you have made your decision, select the server of your choice and click on Select.
  • On the next screen, you will see Current server and Destination server. Make sure that both are correct.
  • Next, click on the Confirm button and 5000 Gems will be automatically deducted from your account.
  • Once the migration is done, the game will restart, and then you will be able to enjoy the game on your new server.

Note that you can migrate multiple times, but each time you will need to pay 5000 Gems. Moreover, while the game allows you to move multiple cities to the same server, you will be able to play one at the same time, as stated in the migration rules.

And that’s all you need to know when it comes to changing servers in Call of Dragons. Additionally, you can also take a quick look here if you want to know how to change server regions in Nightingale. Lastly, keep following DigiStatement for more such content.
