Catching Tarantulas need a little patience and instincts. To do this, equip the butterfly net from the inventory when you see a Tarantula. Then, hold A button to get closer step by step towards it. Keep eyes on its front legs if it raises them that means it is about to attack and stop approaching it and wait for it to calms down. Take a few more steps and stop when it raises the legs again. Keep doing the procedure until you reach a favorable distance to catch it. Then you can hold off A at that point. If you do everything properly, then you can easily catch Tarantula.

If you mess the step while it raises the legs and attack, then runs away while holding B until you cover some distance away from it. Then, turn fast by holding B, and then try the process again while keeping A button under your thumbs. Once you catch it, go to Timmy and sell it for 8,000 Bells.
