Hotline Miami 3: When Is It Releasing On PS5, Xbox Series S|X & Windows

It’s hard to believe that the last version of the Hotline Miami series came back 6 years ago. Time flies like a rocket doesn’t it? The top-down shooter game saw its creation under Abstraction Games and Dennaton Games. Developer Digital managed the production. Succeeding the first part of Hotline Miami, which came back in 2012, Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number focused on the continuation of the previous backstory. The first part saw Jacket, the protagonist killing fragments of the Russian Mafia, as random voices drop a mysterious message on his answering phone.

Instead of merely Jacket and Biker in the original game, there are now thirteen playable characters, each with their own interpretation of the plot as it develops. The masks mechanism is back, with old masks returning and new masks introducing new powers and play styles. Each player has unique skills or perks: Corey can roll and dive under enemy fire, Mark can dual wield two submachine guns and shoot in opposing directions at the same time, Tony’s fists kill all ordinary foes in one stroke and knockdown heavier adversaries for rapid ground kills, and so on.

On March 10, 2015, the game was launched globally for Microsoft Windows, OS X, and Linux. It was then released on 10 March 2015 in North America, 11 March 2015 in Europe, and 25 June 2015 in Japan for PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita. On August 4, 2015, an Android version was launched. As part of the Hotline Miami Collection, a Nintendo Switch version was published in August 2019 with the first game. On 7 April 2020, Hotline Miami Collection was transferred to Xbox One, and on 22 September 2020, it was transferred to Stadia.
