Agent 47 to return in the new era of next-gen consoles
In the informative YouTube documentary, the Fall & Rise of Hitman, IOI confirmed the rumours about the development of Hitman 3 which was supposed to be a trilogy in the first place. We can’t wait to see the bald assassin return on his killing spree without ever putting a single blood mark on his black suit. The last game in the series- Hitman 2- was released back in 2018, so it will probably take IOI this whole year for an eventual release if things go smoothly.
A Hitman never reveals his secrets
In the Noclip, Hakan Abrak, Co-founder of IOI shared some of the studio’s plans saying “The World of Assassination, when that’s complete, it’s gonna be one game with all the locations starting from Paris in Hitman 1 to the last location in Hitman 3, where it’s 20-plus locations.”
Though the development seems to be going smoothly, some of the IOI developers have stated that a release in 2020 would be a tremendous task. But looking at the launch of Playstation 5 and Xbox Scarlett in the holidays 2020, there is a high chance the studio is crunching hours to release parallel to the consoles’ unveil.
What will be the Gameplay like?
With no formal word, we can only speculate about what is to come for the final piece in Hitman Trilogy but we would like for the story to start with the ending of Hitman 2. The gameplay would be very interesting if they introduce new vehicular missions and bring back the arch-rival/ally Diana. The power of next-gen consoles can be implemented well but we do not wanna lose the originality and interactivity that was present in the predecessors.
The map of the game will see to introduce environmental diversity and even more locations than before. Some of the best moments in a game come from completely breaking any sense of immersion. We believe that IOI has a firm grasp to make Hitman 3 a quality experience with a suitable end to Agent 47’s adventures.
