Helldivers 2: How to change Title?

Arrowhead Game Studios’ Helldivers 2 is still going strong as evidenced by the healthy player numbers on the Steam version alone. Officially launched on February 8, 2024, the game has sold over 8 million units so far, resulting in it becoming the most successful Sony PlayStation venture on PC, beating titles like God of War, Horizon Forbidden West, The Last of Us Part 1 and many more. Tons of new players are joining in on the fun and looks like many of them want to know how Titles can be changed in the game.

For the uninitiated, Titles in Helldivers 2 show your current rank. They appear on the bottom-left corner of the screen, just below a player’s name, and are used as a way to show other players your progression in Helldivers 2. So, how can you change them? Well, that’s something this guide will help you do. So, let’s go ahead and find out all about Titles and how you can change them in Helldivers 2.

It is important to note that Titles are purely cosmetic and don’t offer any gameplay benefits to players. Arrowhead also recently increased the max level cap in the game to level 150 with the release of Patch 01.000.200, so be ready to kill a ton of bugs and grind a lot. You should note that each Title only unlocks after every five levels up to level 50, following which it shifts to ten levels per title. And the game currently happens to have about 22 unlockable Titles.

  • Cadet: Level 00
  • Space Cadet: Level 05
  • Sergeant: Level 10
  • Master Sergeant: Level 15
  • Chief: Level 20
  • Space Chief Prime: Level 25
  • Death Captain: Level 30
  • Marshal: Level 35
  • Star Marshal: Level 40
  • Admiral: Level 45
  • Skull Admiral: Level 50
  • Fleet Admiral: Level 60
  • Admirable Admiral: Level 70
  • Commander: Level 80
  • Galactic Commander: Level 90
  • Hell Commander: Level 100
  • General: Level 110
  • 5-Star General: Level 120
  • 10-Star General: Level 130
  • Private: Level 140
  • Super Private: Level 150
  • Super Citizen: Only available if you have purchased the Helldivers 2 Super Citizen Edition

Now that you have all the required knowledge of Titles in Helldivers 2, let’s check out how you can change them.

  • First of all, you need to head to your ship and then navigate to the Armory.
  • Inside Armory, you will find six options to choose from: Weaponry, Armory, Character, Booster, and Career. Switch to the Character section.
  • The Character section too will have six sub-options present- Body Type, Voice Pack, Emote, Victory Pose, Player Card, and Title. As you might have guessed already, it’s the Title sub-option that we are going to select.
  • Inside Title, you will see all the current ones you have unlocked so far and can equip in the game. Now simply choose whichever title you want and select the Equip button. And that is all you need to change your Title in Helldivers 2.

And that’s all you need to know when it comes to changing your title in Helldivers 2. You can also take a quick look here if you want to know how to remap buttons on your controller.
