From NetEase Games and WB Games came the newest title in the Harry Potter universe: Harry Potter: Magic Awakened. Available only on Android, iOS, and the Windows platform (only for SEA), it is already a hit, and the reviews around it are quite surprising. All in all, Harry Potter: Magic Awakened is a success. Anyway, since it is based on the HP universe, many players in the community have been curious about unlocking the Cursed Spells in the game. If you already didn’t know, Harry Potter: Magic Awakened employs collectible card mechanics along with elements of an MMO and RPG. Combat in the game is done using cards, so they are pretty important. And these Awakened Cursed Spells happen to be one of the most useful cards in the game. So, how do you unlock them? Let’s find out!
Harry Potter Magic Awakened Cursed Spells (Avada Kedavra, Crucio, & Imperio): How to get & unlock
Avada Kedavra, Crucio, and Imperio—all three fall under the Cursed Spell umbrella. According to the official lore of the Wizarding World, these three spells are collectively called the “Unforgivable Curses”. They are, quite simply, the strongest Dark spells in the long history of wizards and witches. Avada Kedavra, when used, will result in the death of the person or thing it is directed at. Crucio, meanwhile, is used for the purpose of dealing an excruciating amount of pain to the victim of the spell. And lastly, Imperio has the effect of total control over a person. Now that you are somewhat familiar with these curses, let’s see how you can unlock them.
Availability
In Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, Avada Kedavra, or the Killing Curse, has a power totaling 367+. Moreover, it can affect multiple enemies in one shot. Crucio, on the other hand, comes with a whopping 754 power, making it one of the best spells in the game. Now, when it comes to Imperio, you will not be able to acquire it since the game doesn’t feature Imperio, as of now.
How to unlock?
You can get the two available Unforgivable Curses in Harry Potter: Magic Awakened by drawing the Dark cards. Yes, it is based on luck, as you cannot get them directly. And, it’s not an easy process thanks to their rarity. However, there are a few methods you can use to draw these two cards in the game. One of the most common ways is to simply use Advanced Study, which requires a golden key. The pull chances on it aren’t that great, though. The gacha aspect bites hard here. Players have a pull chance of 0.147% in total. Even compared to more mainstream Gacha games, this pull chance is very low. In addition to that, the Daily Items menu might feature one of the unforgivable curses for players to buy, so make sure to have some stacks of gold to not miss out on this opportunity.
The Advanced Study guarantees a Dark, Mythic, or Legendary card every 20 draws from the player. “A New Adventure” or Season Limited draws are another way to unlock the two cards, but they have even worse rates. 0.051%, to be exact. Abysmal would be the perfect word to describe the gacha experience in the game. Suffice it to say, players will need to pray to the RNGesus to bless them with these cards.
