Halo infinite Audio Issues

Over the years, we have seen this issue troubling many players. In the case of Halo Infinite, this issue is not limited to a single platform. You can encounter this issue on a PC as well as an Xbox console. No matter what platform you are facing this issue on, we have discussed some ways through which you can resolve this issue.

For PC:

  1. Update the USB Audio Device driver: There is a high chance that you are connecting your headphone to the PC through the USB port. So, for the first workaround, we will be updating your Headphones drivers. So, make sure the headphones that are experiencing the issue are connected to the PC so that the correct drivers appear and follow these steps:
    1. On the Windows Taskbar, right-click on the Speaker icon.
    2. Select Sounds and go to the Playback tab.
    3. Find your playback device and double-click on it to open Properties.
    4. Select Properties
    5. Select Change settings.
    6. Go to the Driver tab and select Update driver
    7. Select Browse my computer for drivers.
    8. Select Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer.
    9. Select the device then select Next to install the driver.
    10. Restart computer.
  2. Configuring stereo sound settings: If you are not able to resolve this issue by updating the USB Audio Device driver, then maybe there is an issue with your stereo sound settings. Follow these steps to configure stereo sound settings.
    1. On the Windows Taskbar, right-click on the Speaker icon.
    2. Select Sounds and go to the Playback tab.
    3. Find your playback device and select it.
    4. Select Configure.
    5. View your Audio channels, if Stereo is not selected:
      • Select Stereo and select Next
      • Follow the prompts to configure your speakers.

For Xbox:

  1. Change the Speaker/Headset audio settings: On Xbox consoles also, we will be changing some audio settings to resolve the audio issues:
    1. Close Halo Infinite if it is running and press the Xbox button.
    2. Use RB to select Profile and System
    3. Select Settings.
    4. Select Volume & audio output
    5. If you are using the Speaker audio setting, set HDMI audio to “Stereo uncompressed”. Ensure it is not set to a 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound option.
    6. If you are using the Headset audio setting, set the Headset format to “Stereo uncompressed” or “Windows Sonic for Headphones.”

If have not been able to resolve this issue till now, maybe there is an issue with your headphones. So, try changing your headphones.
