How to enter the Stump lab in Grounded?
If you’re concerned that finding the Stump lab will be difficult, rest easy as with the right direction, you can get there easily. The Stump lab can be found in the upper grasslands area. However, getting there can be very difficult as the area is swarming with hideous bugs all around the corner. Now you might be wondering what’s the point of visiting that place? Places like that are a great catch if you wish to nab valuable resources that are otherwise hard to procure by normal means. Resources like gum nuggets, dandelion tufts, and spicy shards found in the area are valuable and will help you greatly in your survival journey.
How to find the lab in the game?
Once you’ve found the Stump landmark on the far east side of the upper grassland, you have found the stump lab entrance. Entering the lab is a whole different story and would require you to put extra effort into doing so. You’ll notice the entrance of the lab as it’s sticking out of the ground. Before that, you have to fight your way against the manager at the Black Ant Hill lab as he carries a keycard that you’ll need later in the game. After that, dive into Pond Lab located on the southern wall of the pond.
The tricky part is that you won’t get a prompt to open the lab. Simply swim to the entrance and bump into it. It’ll automatically open, so swim inside and turn right and there you’ll spot a door with a keycard panel. Use the Keycard that you got from defeating the manager. Look around until you see a red button with CCTV and press it. After doing so, the stump lab will open. In it, you’ll find a valuable recipe known as Orchid Mantis Kebab, which is a mandatory item for summoning the Mantis Boss.
