Madfinger Games’ latest title – Gray Zone Warfare, was released as an early access title on April 30, 2024, and unfortunately, the reception to it has been pretty mixed. All of this stems from the plethora of technical issues that currently happen to be affecting it. The missing task rewards issue is also among them and it is the one that this guide will be helping you deal with. So, if you are encountering the same issue, consider reading until the end.
What this issue is essentially doing is not giving players rewards for completing their tasks. Many have reported that they are only receiving rewards from Gunny but not from other NPCs. As expected, players are pretty annoyed with this issue and want to know how to deal with it. So, let’s go ahead and find out how.
Gray Zone Warfare Missing Task Rewards Issue: Is there any fix yet
Until there’s an official fix for this issue, players can use the following workarounds. Check these out and find out if any of them work out for you.
Restart –
Simply restart Gray Zone Warfare and then check if you get the task completion rewards. Sometimes a simple restart is all you need to fix an issue. However, if this doesn’t help, you can switch to another fix.
Wipe your character –
Some have suggested wiping character as a way to deal with this issue. Do note that in order to do so, your character will need to be at least one hour old. Character wipe is irreversible, so follow this workaround only if you are comfortable with losing hours of progress. In case you aren’t, you can check out other workarounds.
Check the correct place to get your rewards –
Do note that the game will not outright give you rewards for finishing a task. Only XP and Reputation Points are an exception to this. Instead, you will need to collect it from the right place, i.e., messages. Just right beside the Create Squad button, you will find the messages icon. Click on it and this will open the Messenger tab. You can collect all of your task rewards from there. By the way, make sure that you have clicked on Complete to mark the task complete. Without doing so, the game will not mark the task as complete, and you will not receive any rewards.
Send a message to another player –
This player was able to successfully fix this issue by sending a message to another player. As such, we recommend you try the same method too. Essentially, what you need to do is, find a random player or a friend who happens to be on the same server as you. Next, send them a private message. Once that’s done, simply restart the game, open the Messenger tab, and your unclaimed rewards should be there.
Switch servers –
If the previous workaround didn’t work, maybe this one will. What this player did was just log out, log back in, and then switch servers in the game. This helped them receive the rewards. Simple right? Well, try this, and hopefully you can claim your in-game task rewards too.
For now, this is all we have when it comes to fixing the missing task rewards issue in the game.
