Madfinger Games’ Gray Zone Warfare is the latest title to join Steam’s Early Access program. Released on April 30th, Gray Zone Warfare is a tactical FPS military sim that’s only available for PC at the moment. This is Madfinger Games’ first ever game for PC, as the studio was primarily a mobile developer before, known for games like the Shadowgun and Samurai series. And so far, from the looks of it, Madfinger has done a commendable job in developing their debut PC game. The developers have stated that at the moment their priorities lie with ironing out the PC experience of Gray Zone Warfare and that controller support will be looked at depending upon how much the community needs it. Here’s what they actually said:
“We are currently focusing on polishing the PC experience. We will decide in the future based on community interest.”
So, if you were planning to enjoy Gray Zone Warfare with controllers, then unfortunately, there’s nothing else to do but wait. The community certainly is very vocal about controller support, with some even deciding not to play the game until it’s added to the game. Suffice it to say, that the community interest is there. All that remains is for Madfinder Games to include it in Gray Zone Warfare. When that will be is the kind of information we aren’t privy to, unfortunately.
