Granblue Fantasy fans can now finally play the long-awaited title, Granblue Fantasy: Relink. Originally announced back in 2016, fans had been waiting for a really long time to get their hands on it. And after a number of delays, it’s finally here. Released on February 1, 2024, for PlayStation and Windows, unlike the original Granblue Fantasy gacha game, Relink is an action-RPG title where you get to form a party of four and embark on an adventurous quest for the fate of Sky Realm. Fans, both new and old, are having a blast playing GFR with the Steam version of the game alone, seeing an all-time peak of about 113,179 players as of writing this article. However, like any other newly released title, there are some things that players happen to be particularly curious about. And right now, what many want to know is if there are DLSS and FSR mods available for the game.
Both DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) and FSR (Fidelity Super Resolution) have revolutionized how video games are made and played. For many, having DLSS or FSR is a must to enjoy a game at a higher resolution. And while a lot of games offer built-in upscaling technology like this, there are also some that don’t. In such cases, mods are where players look next. So, does Granblue Fantasy: Relink have DLSS and FSR mods? Well, continue reading to find out.
Granblue Fantasy Relink DLSS & FSR Mods: Are they available
As of now, Granblue Fantasy: Relink doesn’t really have a dedicated DLSS mod available right now. But there is an application called Lossless Scaling that offers two upscaling options: FSR and LS1. While the app does offer other scaling options, the previously mentioned two are the only ones that work with Granblue Fantasy: Relink.
If you do download Lossless Scaling, after installing it, open Game Options, switch to Graphics, and set the Resolution to 2K (2560×1440). Now, to choose an upscaling option, just launch Lossless Scaling and set whatever upscaling option you would like under Scaling Type.
Now, if you are waiting for a dedicated DLSS or FSR mod, then you might need to wait for a while. We took a look at NexusMods and currently, Granblue Fantasy: Relink doesn’t have many mods. And something like that is to be expected when the game is this fresh. With time, we are confident that modders will start releasing DLSS and FSR mods for the game soon. However, some players have their doubts about a DLSS mod as Granblue Fantasy: Relink uses an in-house engine instead of Unreal or Unity. In conclusion, for now, players have two options: use the Lossless Scaling app or wait for mods.
Well, that’s all the information we have on this matter. Additionally, if you want to know about Granblue Fantasy: Relink’s roadmap for 2024, take a quick look here.
