God of war Ragnarok

This is a very common bug that many players report facing when playing the game. Likewise, the gameplay design of God of War Ragnarok is in such a way that Atreus follows Kratos. However, players have reported that Atreus stops following at some point or area in the game. This is not by design but due to a bug. It can be jarring when this bug occurs as at some point in the game, without Atreus’ help, the player can’t progress further. So, this bug needs to be addressed immediately.

Unfortunately, there is currently no official fix available for this bug in the game. However, many players report being able to solve this bug by simply restarting the game from the last checkpoint. This means that all you have to do when facing the bug is to go to Options. Then, you have to restart from the last checkpoint. This means that you don’t lose much progression but you can resolve the bug. After restarting from the last checkpoint, you can see whether or not Atreus starts following you.

If this fix didn’t work for you, deleting the game saves might be the solution for it. To do this, head to the Settings menu of your console, go to Storage> Console Storage> Saved Data> PS4/PS5> God of War Ragnarok> Delete. After performing this step, launch the game again and start your playthrough. The issue should be fixed.
