When Epic Games’ Fortnite made its debut on gaming platforms all the way back in 2017, most reviewers and critics passed off the game as another wannabe Battle Royale game that would maybe be popular for a year or so and then fade into obscurity. None of them could have possibly predicted the negotiating power and pull of Epic Games, which has allowed them to draw in massive amounts of search interest and sustained success, by simply collaborating with every form of media possible. No popular video game, movie, TV Show, anime or manga series, and even song producer was too difficult for Epic Games to arrange a collaboration with. In 2021, the list of Fortnite’s crossovers is simply unbelievable. In this article, we will be taking a look at the prospect of One Punch Man being added to this list in the near future. Right, let’s get into it.
Saitama, also known as One Punch Man, is an anime character who grows bored of life due to the lack of challenge in his life since he is able to defeat any enemy, no matter how strong or how large, with just a single punch, thus giving him his superhero name. It would, obviously, be very unfair if these capabilities of Saitama’s were to be replicated in Fortnite, but obviously, they won’t be. The only thing that Epic Games will be bringing to the game in the event of this crossover is a few skins, items, and emotes. Considering the fact that the remake English manga of One Punch Man surpassed 30 million copies last year, it is clear to see why Epic Games would want to arrange this collaboration: it would greatly benefit their visibility and also pull in a host of new users.
Let’s hope we are able to see an official Fortnite and One Punch Man crossover in 2021!
