Epic Games’ Fortnite continues to be excessively popular, earning massive amounts of revenue and enjoying a large fanbase, even after most game reviewers dismissed it as a game that would not last more than a few months. A big contributor to the sustained success of Fortnite would have to be the sheer speed and guile that Epic Games have managed to bag collaborations and crossover events with a large variety of media that they know for sure is already consumed by a lot of their player base, and would also draw in new players. The list of crossovers that Fortnite has done is truly staggering, with popular video games, TV Shows, movies, and music artists all chipping in for adding content to the game and in return, receiving a massive spike in interest. In this article, we will be taking a look at the prospect of Attack on Titan being added to the ever-increasing list of Fortnite crossovers! Right, let’s get into it.
Attack on Titan has sold over 100 million copies, making it one of the best selling manga series of all time. It has also received several awards including the Kodansha Manga Award, the Attilio Micheluzzi Award, and Harvey Award. It is one of the most popular franchises of all time, with the manga editions finishing off its plot in April of this year, and the next season of the anime series scheduled to come out sometime in 2022. Due to the fact that the anime series is still being developed, there is no doubt that there is massive interest surrounding Attack on Titan, and now would be as good a time as ever for Fortnite and Epic Games to work out and announce a collaboration with Attack on Titan.
Considering the fact that Epic Games recently added in Lexa, an anime-inspired skin to the game, we could be looking at a late 2021 release for the Attack on Titan and Fortnite crossover, close to the release of the new season of its anime. We can’t wait!
