Total War: Pharaoh was a dud, so seeing the critical success of Football Manager 2024 must have been good for SEGA. Released on November 6, 2023, Football Manager 2024 is now available for all major platforms, including the Switch and even mobile. The previous FM title wasn’t a bad game either, but with FM 24, Sports Interactive has achieved new heights of success. All the praise aside, the game is not without its fair share of issues. One of which we will be discussing in this guide. The In-game Editor Not Working issue, to be exact.
Well, as you might have already guessed, some players are having issues with the in-game editor after purchasing it. Well, due to an unknown bug, despite being visible on screen, players are unable to use the in-game editor. Now, we don’t really know why this happens, but one thing we do know is that it’s an issue that needs to be fixed ASAP. So, is there a fix yet? Continue reading to find out!
Football Manager 2024 (FM 24) In-game Editor Not Working Issue: Is there any fix yet
Players can try the following workarounds to deal with this issue and see if any of them are of help. Make sure to try each and every workaround thoroughly.
Restart –
First, start with a quick restart of the game, the Steam client, and your PC/Console so as to check whether this is just a one-time glitch or something that will need some more effort. If the latter part appears to be true, try the other workarounds below.
Ensure that you have enabled the In-Game Editor –
A simple reason why you are unable to use the in-game editor might just be that you haven’t allowed it in the save game. So, we suggest you go to the Game Status page and see if the In-Game Editor Allowed option is set to Yes or not. If not, start a new save, and enable the In-game Editor option.
Update –
If you have yet to update the game, do so ASAP. See if the issue persists after installing the update, and if it indeed does, try this next workaround.
Repair game files –
A common way to deal with issues such as this is to simply verify and repair game files. As for how to do that, you just need to:
Steam
- Launch Steam and then click on Library.
- Now, right-click on FM24 and select Properties > Installed Files > Verify integrity of game files.
- Don’t forget to restart your PC after the verification process is done.
Epic Games
- Launch the Epic Games Launcher and select Library.
- Next, click on the three dots on the game’s tile and select Manage > Verify.
- Restart your PC after the process is over, and then start the game.
Reinstall –
If none of the above workarounds are of help, you can try doing a fresh install of the game. And if even this one doesn’t get any meaningful results, then your one and only choice is to contact support and have them take a look at the issue.
