Fix Spotify web player not working on Chrome in 2021

Spotify is audio streaming and media services provider, that came out all the way back in the October of 2008. Spotify is well known for providing copyright restricted recorded podcasts and music, and it includes more than 60 millions songs, from many different media companies and record labels. So in its free service, mostly all the basic features are free to access but with advertisements, while in the premium membership, there are some additional features added such as commercial-free listening, offline music streaming. Users are very easily capable to search for their favorite album, artist, or song and are also free to create a playlist of their own with the personal choice of music in it.

But if your Spotify web player stops working, it can be a painful situation, but don’t worry, we have the solutions here for you. So let’s put our eyeballs onto the common solutions that you can follow in order to fix this problem.

How to fix it?

  • As usual, the most obvious hack, check your network connection. So if the web player has stopped working suddenly and you’re not able to play the music, then maybe the problem lies with your internet. So to check this, try opening other websites or applications and observe the performance. If it is, try troubleshooting or contact your service provider.
  • Try clearing the cache and cookies from your Chrome browser. So cookies and cache help your browser in remembering the basic piece of information such as the logins. Now it may be misremembered which may lead to such problems. So clear the browsing data in your Chrome browser and restart it again.
  • Either update your browser or switch the browser you’re using, but if still, the problem persists, it is advisable that you check for some updated.
  • If none of the above has worked for you until now, well don’t worry we still have a few ways in our pockets. So if you’re using your account to multiple devices then sometimes the Spotify web player can get a bit confused on which one to choose to play the song. So in order to fix this, simply click on the device list that’s located on the left of the control button and then to the Web Player.
  • Or besides doing all that, you can simply download the Spotify PC app. If the Web Player is giving you some troubles, this is the best remedy to follow as you won’t have to deal with anything else.
