GTA V on FiveM can be one of the most taxing games to run if your settings aren’t just right for your device. In this article, we will help you find the best settings so you can run the game with minimal lag and the maximum FPS that the game can handle.
First, right-click on FiveM and navigate to the Compatibility tab. Check the disable fullscreen optimizations option. Click on High DPI Settings. Check the box next to Override high DPI settings. In the dropdown menu that appears, select Application. Apply your changes.
In the Windows search bar, search for GPU Settings. Click on “Browse” and find FiveM in your File Explorer. Select it and click Add. Now, click on Options and check High Performance. Ensure that optimize games for variable refresh rate is checked.
Now, search for game mode settings in the Windows search. Enable Game Mode from the landing page. Under the Game bar tab, disable the Open game bar using this button option.
Right-click on your Windows logo and select Run. In the dialog box, run the command “msconfig”. Under the boot tab, select advanced settings. Check the number of processors setting and select 8 in the dropdown box below. Under the Services tab, first check hide all Microsoft services, since we do not want to mess with those. Now, disable as many of the services you see as possible. This frees up space on your processor.
Search for Power Plan in your Windows search. Navigate to power options and select create a power plan. Check high performance. Now, you will be able to use this power plan whenever you play the game, meaning your device will be cranked up.
Next up, search background apps. Toggle off let apps run in the background. This will mean your device will dedicate its full resources to FiveM and GTA V.
Well, we hope those settings help you run GTA V and FiveM much faster. Happy gaming!
