A lot of interesting features were introduced in F1 23, keeping in mind the prime objective of delivering an immersive gaming experience. Even though F1 23 generated a lot of hype in the gaming community upon its release, it does have its flaws. Newly released games usually have several issues that can only be noted by the public. Unfortunately, there has been no official announcement regarding a fix for this issue from the developer’s end. The issue is that whenever one proceeds to either load or delete a save file in F1 23, the game crashes and forces them out of it. Players from multiple gaming platforms have reported this issue on EA’s official forums. There are no definite fixes for it, but you can try out the workarounds listed below:

Verify Game files (PC)

Players who have bought the game on platforms like Steam/Epic Games/EA App have a chance to locate and fix any abnormalities in game files by verifying them. If you have bought F1 23 on Steam:

  • Go to Steam and enter the Library section.
  • Right-click on F1 2023 and select Properties. Now, select the Local Files tab from the menu on the left side of your screen.
  • Lastly, choose the Verify Integrity of Game files option.

If you have bought F1 23 on Epic Games:

  • Launch Epic Games and enter the Library.
  • Locate F1 2023 and click the three vertical dots present near it.
  • Select the Manage option and click on Verify.

For players who bought F1 23 on EA App:

  • Open the EA App and visit the My Collection tab.
  • Find F1 23, and click the three dots right to the game. Now, select the Repair option.

After the scan is completed, the error should be fixed. If not, try the next method.

Delete in-game progress

Do note that this is not a definite solution but is worth trying. Also, continuing with this method will lead to your in-game progress getting completely wiped out. Anyway, if the game continues to crash while loading/deleting your saved progress, try manually deleting it. To do this, head to the following directory on your PC: C/Users/{username folder}/Documents/My Games/F1 23. Now, delete the F1 23 folder, and launch the game.

Power Cycle (Console)

You can try power cycling the console when facing this issue. To power cycle your console, shut it down and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and boot it up. Now, launch the game and try entering the Career mode.

Contact Support

As a last resort, you can reach out to the official support for F1 23 through the EA Help website. You are required to raise a complaint ticket regarding this issue. The official team should eventually respond and will most likely share additional workarounds to get rid of this problem.

As of now, these are the only possible workarounds that you can try to solve the issue. It is recommended to either contact support or sit tight until an announcement is made by the developers. Anyway, we hope you have found the content helpful. For more reads like this, consider following DigiStatement.
