Here are the steps on how you can drift in the game –

  1. First and foremost, you have to launch the game and go to the game’s main menu.
  2. Next up, you have to go to Settings. In the game’s Settings, you have to go to the Assist Settings menu. Here, you have to turn off the Drift Assist setting. This is a setting in the game that makes sure that your tires do not lock up at a corner. Therefore, you have to turn it off to be able to drift.
  3. Then, you have to enter a race and start accelerating towards a corner with your car. After nearing a corner on the track, you have to hit the brake later than when the game signals you to. If you do this successfully, you can hear the tire screech.
  4. After hearing the tire screech, you have to begin turning into the corner, and reapply the throttle. Consequently, you have to gain more momentum on the back tire.
  5. Finally, you can push your car’s rear out in a drift and use the left stick to control the car. It is also important to note that you have to counter-steer in order to ensure that your car doesn’t spin out.
