F1 23 launched with great excitement and interest from the F1 community on June 16th, 2023. Available for all major platforms except the Switch and macOS, the game has been on the receiving end of some great responses from both fans and critics alike. The improvement in in-game mechanics, along with pleasing visuals, is well-loved by the audience. All in all, F1 23 is one great game that manages to outshine its predecessor by a good margin. Continuing the narrative from the previous games, the new title adds more depth with Braking Point 2, since most racing games these days are pretty sub-par at storytelling. Now, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows over here. F1 23 does suffer from some minor and major issues. Although most of them are related to the technical side of things. Well, that said, recently, players have been complaining about the two-player career mode not working properly in the game.
For the uninitiated, Two Player Career, as the name suggests, is a co-op mode in F1 23 where you and your friend can play as teammates on the same team or as competitors from different teams. It makes for an interesting and engaging gameplay experience and is one of the highlights of recent F1 titles, including F1 23. So, is there any fix for this “Two Player Career not working” issue? Let’s find out!
F1 2023 (F1 23) Two Player career not working: How to fix it
Since it’s a pretty “wide” issue, finding a common cause is nigh impossible. And unless EA releases an official fix for it, you can try out the following methods and see if any of them actually deals with the problem:
Restart F1 23 –
Let’s start with the most obvious workaround: Restarting your game. While it is not wholly guaranteed to fix the issue, it can still prove effective at times. Plus, there are no downsides to this method, and you don’t even have to follow some intricate and complex steps.
Create a new Two Player career –
Another thing you can do is just start a new two-player career entirely. Who knows!! This time, the mode might just start working normally. Although this will result in losing progress, it is still better than not being able to access the mode at all.
Check that you have a good enough internet connection –
Since this mode is related to online co-op gameplay, ensure that you have a consistent and fast internet connection. And in case you are experiencing problems with your router, then either try restarting it or do a factory reset.
Restart your device –
Players can also try restarting their device, i.e., console or PC. In fact, if you are playing the game on a console, consider power cycling it.
Disable Antivirus –
Your antivirus program might be the cause of this problem. It can restrict F1 23 from accessing the internet, thereby blocking its online features. So, consider disabling the program entirely while playing F1 23 or adding the game’s .exe file to the antivirus’s exclusion list.
Reinstall the game –
If you are comfortable with the idea of reinstalling the game, then give this method a try as well. A fresh install might be what’s needed to get rid of the problem.
Well, we hope the issue gets fixed after you try the provided workarounds. For more guides and information on F1 23, don’t forget to follow DigiStatement.
