The pesky Anticheat Connection Failed error can stop you from playing Escape from Tarkov, in this article we will go over a comprehensive fix for this error!
Check for an update!
There is a chance that you have an update pending and that is causing your game from functioning properly. Try running a search for the update, install it, and try playing after a reboot of your system.
Run as administrator
One of the best fixes for this error is to run the game as an administrator. To do this, go into your game files and look for the application named “EscapeFromTarkov.exe” and right-click on it. Now, bring up its properties and navigate to the compatibility tab. Here, make sure the “Run this program as an administrator” option is checked. Now, right-click on your BattleState games Launcher and select “Run as administrator”. The game should work fine now!
Run an integrity check
To check for corrupt game files, Escape from Tarkov offers a useful check. Simply open up the game, click on your avatar on the top right, and select “Integrity check”. If it returns any corrupted data, it will automatically re-download the relevant files and patches.
Suspend firewall software
There is a chance that your third party or Windows antivirus software may be causing the game to misbehave. Temporarily suspend these services and see if that fixes the problem. If you are not comfortable doing this, you can reach out to your security provider and ask them if the service might be interfering with Escape from Tarkov.
Update windows and graphics cards
This is unlikely to be the cause of the problem, but updating your OS and your graphics cards never hurts. Try running the game again and see if it fixed things.
Reinstall the game.
As a last resort, you can reinstall the game. Go into the EFT folder, then BattlEye. Look for the “Uninstall_BattlEye.bat” file and run it. Now, go back to however you downloaded the game originally, and repeat it. See if this fixed it!
If none of these helped you, your best bet is to reach out to Escape From Tarkov Support.
