The East Carolina University’s interim chancellor has been placed on leave from today after the videos and pictures of him showed up depicting him to be drinking with the young adults that were college-aged at the Greenville bar.
On Monday, the UNC System issued the one-liner statement coming from Dr. Bill Roper, the interim President for UNC System. The statement mentioned that given the circumstances in the past weekend, Dan Gerlach, the ECU Interim has now been placed on the administrative leave with further investigation pending.
WITN, the Greenville-based NBC affiliate reported on Sunday that Gerlach had been seen at the bar located in Greenville and was seen allegedly consuming alcohol & acting in an inappropriate manner around the students. This TV station actually based its complete story on the anonymous sources. However, there are several Snapchat and Instagram videos that come with 11,000 views depicting the very same thing.
Greenville’s newspaper, The Daily Reported mentioned over its website the very same videos and pictures that confirmed Gerlach trying to touch several women present at this bar which was located close to the campus on a Wednesday night. However, it is being said that this attempt by Gerlach was actually misinterpreted.
