Google had launched their Google camera back in 2014 for all Android devices running Kitkat or higher. But then, they limited the camera app to just Pixel phones.
However, some developers have released unofficial ports for non-Google devices and also for implementation of premium features on older Pixel devices. The Nexus 6P and Nexus 5X got the HDR+ feature through a modified version in 2016. In mid-2017, a version of Google Camera was created which could be run on any device with Snapdragon’s 820,821 or 835 processor. In 2018, developers created a custom version which brought NightSight to Non-Google devices.
Coming to the topic, Redmi Note 10 Pro is yet to launch in India, but the GCam app for it is now available. Redmi Note 10 Pro is powered by Snapdragon 765G with 6 gigabytes of RAM paired with 64GB internal storage, expandable upto 512GB. The display will have 6.7 inch with FHD resolution (393ppi) and on the front will also be 32MP camera. Talking about cameras, on the back will be a quad camera setup with 64MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor, 5MP macro and a 5MP depth sensor. Redmi Note 10 Pro’s battery will be on the larger side with 5100mAh and fast charging. It is rumoured to be priced at Rs.18,999 when it is launched early next year.
