A Dota 2 player has discovered a bug that allows the cooldown of the passive ability Echo Saber, which is part of Silver Edge, to be reset. He posted an example on Reddit.
On the first attack with Silver Edge, the hero makes two hits in a row. If you place and return the item back to your inventory, then the passive ability from Echo Saber will work again. Users in the comments on Reddit suggested that this bug would greatly speed up farming in the forest, but in fights, there is a chance of losing an artifact in the process of transferring it.

There is also a chance the script could exploit this bug. As you know a script could automatically drop the item and replace it without any action required from the player. It can potentially be a broken thing. The bug can potentially be used for accelerating farm in the jungle. But do not try this during team fights or you will have some big trouble.
The Reddit thread also talks about using it for Roshan. The extra quick hits can make taking Roshan drastically easier especially on a hero like Sven or Monkey King. This bug does come with a lot of risks. You might just lose it in a team fight if you attempt to be cheeky with it. Or a invis hero could sneak up on you and steal it.
You may also end up breaking the item, when I was testing it, I did. Then 4.5k gold item is down the drain for you to get 2 quick hits that would make negligible difference in the long run. Fat fingers be especially careful and please do no try it in ranked games. Unranked and Turbo modes are made for experimenting with such items.
