Don’t toy with me, Miss Nagatoro is a very cute and likeable manga and anime series, which is still running since its original 2017 release of the first manga. The anime series has just started in April of this year, with just nine episodes released so far. Fan reception for it has been really good, with the anime series drawing heaps of viewers on CrunchyRoll. In this post, let’s take a look at the possibility of a game being developed based on the characters and plot of Don’t toy with me, Miss Nagatoro. Right, let’s get into it.
The entire series follows the budding friendship and eventually the romantic relationship between Naoto Hachioji, a second-year student who is usually referred to as Senpai (meaning attractive senior) and Hayase Nagatoro, a first-year student at the same school. The plotline is extremely satisfactory, with Senpai eventually coming out of his shell to start talking to Nagatoro more, and even goes on to meet her friends eventually. This sort of plot can definitely be put to use in a virtual novel game, or even in a choice-based RPG with sandbox environments that the player could interact with. It can be assumed that the owners of the anime and the manga are currently focused on finishing the anime adaptation of the manga series, and this could prove to be a long and arduous task. As such, their best course of action might be to just delegate the rights of making the game to a third-party developer and have them develop the game simultaneously. It would not be the first time this would be happening, and would allow the anime and manga series to properly flow on with their new installations as well. There has been no official confirmation for a game based on Don’t toy with me, Miss Nagatoro yet, but there is every possibility we do get one in late 2022.
