Doki Doki Literature Club Plus is one of the most beloved psychological horror games ever made, and it is now getting an expanded and enhanced version called Doki Doki Literature Club Plus. This version is set to release on June 30, 2021 globally. While we are not too sure what exactly this premium version of the game will bring, we sure are ready for even more fourth wall breaking, mind bending, goosebump raising horror content from what has quickly become everyone’s favourite horror game since its original release in 2017.
While the game is heavily marketed and presented to the player as just another anime-style dating simulator, it is actually far, far more, and can well and truly scare the wits out of even the most seasoned of horror game and movie veterans. Without getting too much farther into spoiler territory, let’s instead take a look at the character list for Doki Doki Literature Club Plus, which was recently put up on the official website.
As expected, Monika makes a return to the expanded franchise. She is the President of the Doki Doki Literature Club, and is extremely helpful toward the character. She is always there to lend a hand in your love life and in your literature adventures.
The dark-haired, somber, and quiet Yuri also makes a comeback. She may come off as extremely reserved with her life and her books and unwilling to mingle with the protagonist at first, but she does finally open up once you being to understand each other better.
Natsuki, the self-proclaimed cutest of the Doki Doki Literature Club is also a part of the expanded and enhanced version, and will no doubt make sure you know of her love and respect for anything that she may find cute.
Sayori, your childhood friend and the one who encourages you to enroll in the Literature Club in the first place is also a part of the expanded and enhanced version since she is one of the most integral parts of the entire plot.
