Developed by Giants Software and distributed by Focus Home Interactive, Farming Simulator is a series of farming simulation computer games. It’s been characterized as a farming puzzle game on several occasions. America and Europe are used as backdrops. There’s a lot of farming to be done in this game. The games have each sold over a quarter-million records, with 90 million mobile downloads.
The player takes on the role of a farmer in the career mode. Gameplay involves extending and improving “dated” equipment, as well as purchasing new equipment and gear to replace the old. Harvesting crops and selling them might help players attain their goals. During the game, the players have complete freedom to explore the map’s surroundings, cultivate their own crops, and invest their money in more fields and equipment, as well. Players can also raise livestock or make money through forests.
On the other hand, the player can choose from a variety of dynamically created missions that require them to do certain tasks under certain time limits. The only exception is made for Farming Simulator, where the player receives money and additional points depending on how quickly the assignment was performed. For the first time ever, Farming Simulator 14 included a multiplayer option. A new Bluetooth feature had also been added to Farming Simulator 16. Meanwhile, modern consoles offer multiplayer capabilities (Farming Simulator on the last generation consoles was the first console port of the game, with all features of 2013 Titanium). Multiplayer is also available in Farming Simulator 15 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. So, does Farming Simulator feature VR mode?
Farming Simulator 22 feature
Fans and players of the game have been wanting the VR mode since 2015. However, while adding VR mode back then would’ve been an expensive affair, it only seems an ideal feature in 2021. Players have not shied away from expressing their desire on social media posts for a new VR mode feature soon. One such Tweet said, “I wan play a farming simulator on VR pls that’s all I want” Another tweet read, “Farming Simulator VR… When is it coming out…?”
A thread in the Steam community was initiated by a fan that encouraged a discussion on why players want the VR mode feature. Many other players agreed to the author of the post. Not too long after an official announcement was made regarding the VR mode feature was made at Giants Software’s “FarmCon 21 Day 3”. The developers confirmed that a VR mode was on their plate. Additionally, there is also a possibility of a VR-Headset-View-only function but that hasn’t been confirmed yet. Unfortunately, these features will not be available in FS 22.
