Diablo 4 Error Code 400004 Is there any fix yet 1

Communication is considered a key aspect of online gaming. The ability to chat with fellow players is a significant part of the gaming experience. Blizzard Entertainment, the studio behind the famous Diablo franchise, has understood the assignment. They introduced the feature of party chat in their newest installment, Diablo 4. The feature allows you to chat with other players in-game during your online multiplayer battles. A ton of players have hugely benefited from this feature, which allows them to have more fun while being immersed in the game at the same time. But the experience hasn’t been smooth for everyone. Some players have reported that they are facing an issue where the error code 400004 pops up when they try to access the party chat feature in Diablo 4.

As of now, the developers have not acknowledged the issue. Numerous players in the Diablo fan community are raising a lot of questions and complaints about it. But none have managed to gain the attention of the developers as of yet. As per the reports shared by several players, the party chat feature had no problems even in the early access version of Diablo 4. The issue popped out of nowhere in the game’s final build, stopping them from accessing it. Several players speculate that the issue is related to crossplay. Crossplay is a feature that allows you to team up with players from multiple gaming platforms. The “Crossplay chat” feature might be the real cause behind the issue, but it has not been confirmed yet. So, how do you fix it?

Workarounds?

Well, there are a few workarounds you can try, but we can’t guarantee whether they will actually work. Anyway, they are still worth a shot.

1) Restart the game and have a player from a different gaming platform invite you

The majority of the affected players are those who are playing Diablo 4 with players from various gaming platforms. It is not a definite fix, but it is recommended that you give this one a try. Exit Diablo 4 and enter the game again. Make your fellow party members do the same as well. Now, if you own a PC, have a friend from a different gaming platform (PlayStation/Xbox) invite you. After you accept their invite, check if the party chat feature works.

2) Try Grouping players on similar gaming platforms first

It is reported that pairing up with players from the same gaming platform and then from different ones can also fix the issue. For instance, if you are a group of four and two of you own a PC each and the other two own consoles, try pairing up with a friend who is from the same gaming platform as you (PC). After this, invite your friends who are playing the game on a console, and then check if the issue persists. Also, make sure to let the player facing the error code invite others to their party.

3) Contact Player Support

If the issue persists, you can try contacting the official support team of Diablo 4. You can reach them through the official Diablo 4 Support Page. Submit a ticket, and make sure to describe the issue in detail.

The issue has been bugging the online gaming experience of Diablo 4 for a lot of players. Hopefully, Blizzard Entertainment will release a fix for it soon. Anyway, we hope you have found this article insightful. If you want more such guides, consider following DigiStatement.
