Diablo 4 Difficulty Settings: How to change it

The Diablo series has always provided players with a wide range of options. While this is true for Diablo 4 as well, the latest title will require you to go through certain steps before you can change the difficulty settings. In the previous games, all you had to do was go to the settings and swap the difficulty. But now, things are a little different. Naturally, most players are confused and wish to know more about this feature. So, if you are also wondering how to change the difficulty settings in Diablo 4, then you have come to the right place.

Blizzard has been teasing the fans about Diablo 4 for a long time. Fans are pretty excited to finally play the game even though it is still in the beta phase. The open beta will go live on 24th March allowing players to join the game and explore the vast world. Now, Diablo 4 has tons of features. While some of them are similar to the older titles, others are brand new or completely reworked. The difficulty settings option is one of the features that has changed quite a bit in the game. So, it is normal that you might be unable to access it. Below, we will tell you how to make changes to the difficulty settings in the game.

Diablo 4 Difficulty Settings: How to change it?

As we mentioned before, you cannot change the difficulty settings in Diablo 4 just by going to Settings. Now, you will first need to complete the Prologue of the game. Once you do so, you will spawn in the city of Kyovashad. Once you are here, start heading north until you reach a big statue that has wings and is holding a staff. This is the statue of Inarius and is one of the “World Tier Statues” in Diablo 4. Now, all you need to do is click on the statue. This will pull up all the available difficulty options in the game.

But, the process is still not complete. While you can decrease the difficulty without any issues, you will first need to fulfill certain criteria before you can choose the higher difficulties. This includes completing some quests as well as raiding certain dungeons. Some of the difficulty settings will only unlock once you complete some Story Missions at a certain difficulty. But overall, this is not too complicated. Fortunately, you don’t have to create a new session each time you change the difficulty of the game. Well, this brings us to the end of the article. Stay tuned to Digi Statement for more gaming guides.
