We are here to answer if you are a player of Destiny or Destiny 2 and wondering why you can’t play the game for now. Well, there can be a lot of reasons, maybe game servers are down. This can happen because of a fault, or the company has intentionally done that for server maintenance. And sometimes, it is done to add new content with rolling out the update.
Here, in this post, we will keep you updated with the server status of the Destiny game. So, you just need to check out the post or our new official Twitter handle (@DigiStatement) for the updated content.
The server status updates mentioned here are based on the official statement by the company. We will update the post as soon as possible. Also, we will be adding the newly updated content at the end of this post.

- Destiny 2 background maintenance is scheduled to begin. No downtime is expected.
- Some Destiny API features on Bungie.net, mobile and third-party apps may be disabled.
– 2:00 PM PDT
- Destiny 2 maintenance is expected to conclude.
- Players may encounter the sign on queue when logging in.
- Players who encounter other issues should report them to the #Help forum.

- Destiny 1 and 2 will undergo maintenance for Destiny 2 Update 2.6.1.
– 8:50 AM PDT
- Players in Destiny 1 and 2 will be removed from activities and will be unable to log in until 10 AM when Destiny 2 Update 2.6.1 becomes available.
- Some Destiny API features on Bungie.net, mobile and third-party apps will be disabled.
-10:00 AM PDT
- Destiny 1 and 2 is expected to come back online.
- Destiny 2 Update 2.6.1 is expected to roll out to all platforms and regions.
- Users may experience sign-on issues as background maintenance will still ongoing.
- Players who have an active Cross Save account may receive a Cross Save message when logging in. Players who are confident that they are Cross Saved correctly can safely accept this message.

- Destiny 1 and 2 maintenance is expected to conclude.
- Console players who encounter issues updating to Update 2.6.1 should reset their console and try downloading the update.

Destiny 2 players are facing problems on PS4 platforms. PS Servers are down.

Bungie officially recognized this problem and tweeted about the same.
Issues causing Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 players on PlayStation 4 to receive errors indicating "permissions to access online multiplayer gameplay may have changed" are ongoing.
We are also aware of Destiny 1 and Destiny 2 players on PlayStation 4 encountering WATERCRESS errors.

Destiny 2 maintenance has begun. Downtime is expected from 4:30am EDT / 8:30am UTC. The expected downtime is 1 hour.

Destiny 2 servers are down again and many users are experiencing connection and login issues. Have a look at few reports down below.

At this time, Destiny 2 services are back online. Players can now log in normally on all platforms and we expect no further service interruptions.
Players who observe issues should report to the Help forum.
December 11, 2019
According to an official statement by the developers. The Destiny 2 and Destiny 1 servers will be taken down for maintenance. The servers will be taken off between 10 AM PST to 11 AM PST.

Destiny 2 will undergo maintenance for Update 2.7.0 at 8 AM PST. Players will be removed from activities at 8:45 AM and be unable to log in until 9 AM. Today (12/17)
