DayZ: How to create a server

DayZ is always best enjoyed with a good server. Bohemia Interactive almost did everything right with this game except for the servers it runs on. DayZ has always been infamous for its server issues. From, servers not loading up, to servers not showing up, all the way up to servers with high latency. These issues got so bad, that players ended up making their own servers for the game. And that’s not the only thing that has pushed people to buy their own servers. Another reason for this is the horrific experience some people have had while playing with people on public servers. Why not just create your own custom lobby? Well, custom lobbies in DayZ aren’t particularly easy to create. The method is very tedious and you might not get the results you want out of them.

Today we’ll be looking at how you can do the same, and go through all the different ways to host your very own DayZ server. So without further ado, Let’s get to it.

DayZ: How to create a server

Well, if you’re one of the many that want to escape DayZ’s official servers and make one of your own, then let us equip you with the correct knowledge for this otherwise confusing task.

The first step would be to visit Nitrado’s official website. DayZ’s server management services are handled by Nitrado. Once, you’ve opened up Nitrado you’ll need to select your platform. Depending on what you want you’ll have to pick one of four available server options.

Once, an option has been selected you’ll need to select the location of your server. Be sure to select a place that is close to you as this will help you get lower latency values. After all of this has been dealt with, you just need to pay the piper and what’s left to do is configure your server to your liking.

If you’re on Xbox you won’t be able to create a server from Nitrado’s website. Instead, you’ll have to get the Nitrado app and set up your server through that. If you can’t afford a server you can opt for the cheaper option of renting a server.

Conclusion

If you’ve followed our guide then you are now equipped with the correct knowledge to create your own DayZ server. So, if the official servers have taken a toll on you then take a leap and create your own. We hope this article has been informative for you. Visit Digistatement for more news on DayZ
