Exoprimal happens to be the latest title from the Japanese video game development and publishing studio Capcom. The Osaka-based company recently released Street Fighter 6, which has turned into a financial and critical success for it. But that was an established IP, which Exorpimal is not. This is an entirely new IP, and a lot is hanging on its success. If it indeed turns out to be a successful title for Capcom, then the studio will have a great live-service game on its hands. And everyone in the gaming world knows just how much money a successful live-service game can print. The anticipation surrounding Exoprimal is quite huge, and players in the community want to know whether the game can be played offline without an internet connection.
For many, having to connect to the internet in order to play games is not ideal. Not everyone has access to good and stable internet, let alone a fast one. So, it’s pretty much understandable that players would want to play their favorite games in offline mode without an internet connection. Exoprimal is an online-only game that requires a consistent internet connection to play, but an offline game mode would be a godsend feature. So, can you play Exoprimal offline without an internet connection? Let’s find out!
Can you play Exoprimal Offline without an Internet Connection?
Well, you can’t play Exoprimal without an internet connection. Even the game’s description on Steam specifically states that it is an online game –
“Exoprimal is an online, team-based action game that pits humanity’s cutting-edge exosuit technology against history’s most ferocious beasts – dinosaurs.”
All in all, if you were expecting an offline mode or something for Exoprimal upon its release, then you better be ready for a huge disappointment. As of now, Exoprimal is marketed as an online-only experience, which is why there isn’t even a single-player story mode in the game. For some baffling reasons, many games that are clearly suitable for offline play go the always-online route. Diablo IV is the most recent example of that statement. Exoprimal, on the other hand, isn’t quite a suitable title to support offline play since it is focused on team-based action, but an offline story mode can definitely be a part of it. And, if you didn’t already know, you can play matches with the AI instead of real players, but that also requires you to be connected to the internet.
However, is there any chance of an offline mode for Exoprimal in the near future? To be honest, we aren’t really sure. Capcom hasn’t shown any willingness to put an offline mode or something in the game, and despite a large number of community demands, they are still silent on that matter. For now, the chances of an offline mode being included in the game in the future are very low—almost none.
