Britbox on Chromecast and other devices

Britbox was launched in March 2017 and since its launch, one issue that irritated a large number of users was its lack of support in a few devices and mainly on Chromecast. But later in December 2019, Britbox announced that their service is available for Chromecast and also for Smart TV models from Panasonic and Vestel. Britbox is a subscription service that has a wide range of past and present British TV programmes from ITV, BBC, Channel 5 and Channel 4 and also a lot of classic British films.

Britbox is supported now on Chromecast and you can stream Britbox programmes directly from your smartphone to the Chromecast connected to your telly and you can use your phone as the remote. Britbox is the perfect medium of entertainment from the comfort of your home and especially in this phase of Covid-19 pandemic where we have been advised to stay at home as much as possible. But on the other side, Britbox does not have any flaws but yes, it faces a lot of errors while working. A lot of Chromecast users have complained that they have not been able to use Britbox in their Chromecast.

Users have said that the Britbox faces a loading issue sometimes and also it has been found that the service keeps on buffering on Chromecast but on the other hand, the apps and streaming services work perfectly at the same time. A few users have said that when they try to cast Britbox in their Chromecast device, it crashes every time and a few people have assumed that it might be because of a recent update on Britbox. In most cases, Britbox uses social media to inform its customers in case if they face any sort of technical issues. Still if you have not received any update regarding any technical issue, you can try yourself to fix the issue.

Firstly, check if the Chromecast device has been plugged into the HDMI port of your TV properly. You need to check the HDMI settings of your TV and see if they have been set correctly. Also, you must ensure that you have installed Google Home and Britbox applications on your tablet or smartphone. In case if Britbox is facing loading and buffering issues on your Chromecast, it might be because of the slow or no internet connection. Check the status and speed of your internet connection and make the changes if required. Still, if the service shows loading and buffering issues, contact your internet service provider.
