BattleBit Remastered has become one of the most popular games in the gaming community in general. Developed by just a three-man team, the game is on the receiving end of constant praise from both players and critics. With up to 254 players per server, each match is more chaotic than the last. BattleBit Remastered is a breath of fresh air after all the microtransaction-filled multiplayer fps shooters of recent years. With that said, the game also receives consistent updates, and the Patch 1.7.2 update is what we will be focusing on in this guide.
Not every version update is a major one; some are minor as well. That is especially true in the case of PC games. Many such minor updates deal with optimization issues, bugs, and errors. Usually, these are released regularly to curb both major and minor problems related to a game. And since BattleBit Remastered is a multiplayer game, it always needs such updates to deal with a myriad of problems, optimizations, and balance changes. This 1.7.2 update brings with it a plethora of fixes and changes, some of which will make a lot of players happy. Let’s discuss this new update in more detail.
BattleBit Remastered Update 1.7.2 Patch Notes
July 9, 2023, shifted the game version to 1.7.2. This update doesn’t have any content drops and, in a nutshell, is a small one focused on fixing the bugs and errors in the game. Following are the patch notes for this 1.7.2 update –
- Heavy backend optimizations: This one is server-side related. BattleBit Remastered was the target of several DDoS attacks these past weeks, and the devs themselves mentioned it in a Steam post. Furthermore, servers need constant updates and maintenance, so you will be seeing this type of optimization a lot in future patch notes.
- Further CPU optimization: Players will benefit a lot from this one. While BattleBit Remastered isn’t a power-hungry game, it still has some performance issues. This optimization is meant to deal with that.
- Client-side performance optimization: Thanks to this particular optimization, players will experience less lag and more efficient use of their hardware.
- Possible fix for game lagging every 5 seconds: This one is self-explanatory. Some players were facing game lags of 5 seconds each, which made their sessions frustrating. The devs have deployed a possible fix for this issue.
- Rally points bug fixed: Another issue that players had to deal with was this one. And compared to the previous issue, this one was more annoying. Getting an entire buggy UI is less than ideal, especially when you are up against more than 250 players. This update fixed the bug.
- PP2000 attachment scaling fixed: The PP2000 had an issue with the scaling of its attachment. Now, that issue is fixed.
- Rsh12 magazine model fixed: Rsh12 also had its magazine model fixed. This is more of an “aesthetic” change, and its impact on the gameplay will be minimal.
- MP7’s magazines are back: The MP7 submachine gun’s magazines have been reintroduced in the game with this new update.
- Wakistan- CONQ 64v64 order of flag naming fixed: The Wakistan map’s CONQ mode in the game had some naming irregularities in its flags. That has been fixed now. Quite frankly, you wouldn’t have noticed those mistakes if you didn’t look hard enough.
- Balance change: SandySunset: Frontline initial spawn of the USA team has been pushed back by 50 meters. This one will impact gameplay and is more of a balancing change/fix.
- New Rush mode in Frugis Map: The Frugis map saw the addition of Rush 32v32 in this update. Play a chaotic match against 32 players with your own team of 32.
- QoL: Before this update, players were not able to see the number of used seats in a vehicle. Now, you will be able to. This might seem like nothingburger but it will be of huge help in those chaotic matches.
- Twitch drops issue fixed (limit to 20): Players were having some issues with Twitch drop skins. Now, that issue has been fixed.
- Optimized Sync Speed: Before this update, player data or user stats had a sync speed of ten or more seconds. Now, that has been drastically improved to two seconds. This is mostly when your data is not updated to the backend from the game’s servers, and you attempt to join a new server.
- Friends not loading in party tab fixed: No more missing friends. The developers were kind enough to fix the “friends not loading in party tab” issue and now you don’t have to lose your mind searching for your friends in the game.
- Steam friend list causing lag each 5 fixed: For some reason, the Steam friend list was causing lag for players in the game. If you are one of those affected by it, then you don’t need to worry anymore as this update fixed the issue.
- Privacy Policy Update: No gameplay impact when it comes to this one. If you are someone who likes to read privacy policies “for some reason”, then you can check it out here.
In conclusion, this is an important update for players who were facing annoying issues like stuttering, lag, and such in BattleBit Remastered. You can expect more updates like this in the future, for sure. Well, for more details and guides on BattleBit Remastered, don’t forget to follow DigiStatement.
