Pokemon Go still continues to be Niantic’s most played game, even after so many years since its launch. It’s the golden goose Niantic doesn’t ever want to get rid of. While there has been some negative reception from the community regarding Niantic’s recent handling of Pokemon Go, the game still boasts a healthy player base. One of the many things keeping Pokemon Go refreshing for both new and old players is the regular content players get to see in the form of events and Pokemon variant drops. Both Shiny and Mega Evolution of Pokemon in particular are very popular with players, although the former is slightly more popular due to the rarity factor. While we are on the topic of Shiny Pokemon, many players are eagerly wanting to catch Shiny variants of the Sprigatito family. And this guide will shine a light on whether these variants are available in the game or not.
For the uninitiated, Shiny Pokemon are just differently colored Pokemon of the same species. Now, the reason they are so desired and popular among fans is because of their rarity. The chances of you encountering a Shiny variant of any kind of Pokemon are very slim. Do know that these Shiny variants have nothing unique except for their color. There’s no stat difference between a regular Charizard and a Shiny Charizard. Now that you know what a Shiny Pokemon is, continue reading to find out if Shiny Sprigatito, Floragato, and Meowscarada are available in Pokemon Go.
Are Shiny Sprigatito, Floragato, & Meowscarada available in Pokemon Go
As of writing, neither Sprigatito nor its further evolutions have their shiny forms available in Pokemon Go. Released during the A Paldean Adventure event in September 2023, Sprigatito is the grass starter available at the beginning of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. In Pokemon Go, it’s the #0906 Pokemon, with the following two evolutions being #0907 and #0908, respectively.
Now, coming to the topic of shiny variants of the Sprigatito family, we don’t really know when they are going to be released. The latest Shiny form to be released in Pokemon Go was Shiny Morelull and Shiinnotic on November 7, 2023, as part of the Festival of Colors 2023 event. As for Shiny Sprigatito, Floragato, and Meowscarada, we believe that they will also be released during some kind of event. Now, this can range from regular Community Day events to a full-blown, unique one.
We even looked at the Pokemon Go leaks, but all we got was information about the upcoming Christmas 2023 event and the Pokemon Go Tour 2024. Suffice it to say that players will need to wait for some time until they get an announcement regarding the release of Shiny Sprigatito, Floragato, and Meowscarada in Pokemon Go.
Well, as more information regarding this matter becomes available, we will make sure to update this article at the earliest.
