The reason for voice chat not working in Apex Legends Mobile

There are plenty of reasons that might be causing problems with voice chat in Apex Legends mobile. Issues like poor internet connection, or bugs can be the primary causes. As the game is currently in the Early Access stage, it would be strange not to experience a bug on it as games often tend to manifest issues in the development stages. If you got the early access version of the game and can’t communicate with your teammates, see the steps below.

How to fix the Voice Chat issue in the game.

If you got the game from Playstore/ App store and having issues with voice chat, we have mentioned a couple of workarounds for you to try. Follow the steps mentioned below thoroughly to fix the voice chat issue in Apex Legends mobile.

Use a Wi-Fi connection.

Make sure that the game is properly utilizing your Wi-Fi connection and if it’s able to send or receive data. The issue with the voice chat feature in Apex Legends Mobile often occurs when players use Mobile data instead of Wifi to access the game. However, this will most likely be fixed in future updates. Depending on which device are you using, you can use a Wi-Fi connection in order to use voice chat.

Allow the game to use the microphone.

Sometimes, Apex Legends Mobile experiences voice chat issues because you haven’t granted permission for the app to use your microphone. To enable the microphone on Apex Legends, Go to “Settings” and tap on “Privacy” and then “Microphone”. From the list, make sure that Apex Legends is enabled.

Change in-game sound settings.

If you’re still unable to hear anything while using the in-game voice chat feature, it might be because the volume is set to low in the in-game sound settings. To fix this, open Apex Legends Mobile and then go to Settings. In the Sound Setting section, scroll down and make sure the Mic volume under the Voice Message section is not muted. Set the slider to 60 or more. After this, head below, in the Voice Setting, and enable the “Use built-in mic” option. If you have a Bluetooth device or another external microphone, set the option to the correct device which will show up there.

Restart device

After applying the mentioned changes, the voice chat feature should be working in Apex Legends Mobile. However, if it does not, try restarting your device as it’ll surely help you fix the voice chat issue in the game.
